Forebear Regiments Combat History

The only war the British Army ever lost, having won most of the battles was the one in North America when the Colonies rebelled against the rule of George III and the fault lay entirely with the high command. The British soldiers reputation for courage, endurance, determination, loyalty, good humour and kindliness, especially to a defeated enemy became legendary. Many have sought to discredit him and all who have fought against him have found him to be so formidable largely because it does not occur to him he might be defeated. To have served in The Queen's Regiment is to inherit traditions and a history of greatness that no other army possesses.

This section although only a very brief history of the Regiments that went to make up the Queens, is very large and has been split down into historical era's for ease of navigation.
